Danielle Lopez
Danielle is a second-year, majoring in Anthropology & Comparative Human Development. She's really interested in learning more about Indigenous civil resistance across Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the United States. In her free time, she loves to draw and watch competitive Mario Kart gameplay videos.

Alice is a second year Sociology major and potential Visual Arts or TAPS minor interested in education from Wuhan, Hubei, China. In her free time, she enjoys watching theatre plays and listening to music.

Juliet Cairney
Juliet Cairney is a second-year at the University of Chicago double-majoring in Sociology and Environmental Studies. She has been a member of the Chicago Journal of Sociology since the beginning of this year. Outside of her studies, Juliet is active in Phoenix Farms and the Environmental Research Group, and she tutors with the Neighborhood Schools Program and the Empowerment/Emancipation of North Koreans society. In her free time, Juliet enjoys baking, exploring the city, and finding every excuse she can to get coffee.

Salma is an international exchange student from Cairo, Egypt. She is a Political Science major with an interest in comparative politics, political sociology, gender studies, and journalism. When she is not writing poems and prose verses on her blog or crafting articles on the significance of Shik Shak Shok to Egyptian pop-culture, you will find her watching musicals or documentaries.

Violeta is a potential Philosophy and Political Science major from Argentina. Her academic interests relate to political philosophy, epistemology and international relations. In her free time, she writes poetry, plays the guitar and discovers new coffee shops.

Jacob Steinberg is a first-year hoping to double major in Sociology and Political Science. He is passionate about sociology and the issues the United States and the world, specifically race and homelessness. He enjoys playing and watching all kinds of sports, and otherwise spends his free time with friends.

Jordyn is a third year studying Political Science and Sociology. Her academic interests include race, politics, and political sociology. Jordyn enjoys her role as Co-President of the Organization of Black Students and spends her free time listening to music, watching basketball, and baking!
